Bingo at Heidelberg Academy has a long history. From George Wilson to each member of every
eleventh grade class at the school, Bingo has provided hours of entertainment
at Heidelberg Academy. While traditional
bingo still continues during Fall Fest, we are bringing back Cow Bingo
September 13, 2014. Stella, the cow,
will take the field at 5:00 p.m. and choose who will win $1,000. Tickets may be purchased, for $10.00 each,
from any Heidelberg Academy parent or by calling the school office at
601-787-4589. Rules for Cow Bingo are on
the school website under concerts and events at www.heidelbergacademyinc.com. All proceeds for Cow Bingo go to support the
general operations of the school.
If watching Stella roam around the baseball field to decide
who wins $1,000 seems uneventful and boring, we are offering spectators another
alternative. Beginning at 3:30 p.m. our
flag football team will play a game as our female teachers, and senior girls,
ready themselves to begin their game of Powder Puff Football at 5:00 p.m. Mr. Hagan and Coach Taylor will coach the
teams, and football experts Jan Bustin and Brenda Thatch will referee the
game. Of course no Heidelberg Academy
event is complete without food. The
Booster Club is currently taking preorders for ribeye steak sandwiches
(shhhhhh…. Don’t tell Stella), beans, chips, and tea for $10.00 a plate. The plates will be ready at 4:30 p.m. If you would like to order a plate, please
contact a booster club member soon. You
may also call the school office at 601-787-4589 to place an order.
September 13, 2014 is sure to be a “Cowabunga” good time at
Heidelberg Academy! Please, come out and
enjoy the day while supporting the schools fundraising efforts. If you would like to help make the day a
success by volunteering, we need you! Success
is never by mere chance; it results from forces working together.
